Demi Lovato knows a thing or two about bullying, as well as about the kind of pressure young girls and women are under to always look their best: slim, trendy and pretty much perfect. This is why she takes offense at tabloids like Star when they’re trying to start rumors.

The latest issue of the celebrity publication comes with a cover (see the photo attached) that hints that Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, might be with child.

The tab doesn’t have a reliable source for the story, but only a few photos in which Kate seems to be having a slightly bigger waistline than on previous appearances, which is merely an optical illusion.

It also includes a close up of one of the belts she wore on a recent outing, which she seemed to have loosened up a bit for more comfort.

This is enough for Star to run huge and misleading headlines like “It’s official! Kate is pregnant” and “Kate’s already gaining ‘mommy’ weight – and loving it!” and, last but not least, “The baby name that shocked the Queen!.”

Somehow, Demi got her hands on one copy of the mag and she’s none too pleased about its suggestion that Kate is gaining weight and, therefore, must be pregnant.

Demi also takes offense with the way Star scrutinizes Kate’s body for the slightest sign of weight gain.

“So apparently Kate Middleton (William?) is pregnant because of THIS picture... Are you KIDDING ME?!!” Demi wrote on her Twitter.

“And people wonder why girls/guys have body image issues… Whether she is or not, she still has a beautiful body. Shame on you Star magazine,” the singer added.

This is not the first time that Demi takes a stand against what is known as media bullying. She even picked one such fight with Disney, her former home, for including an anorexia joke on one of its most popular shows, as we reported at the time.
