Since the Kristen Stewart cheating scandal, fans have been wondering whether her breakup from Robert Pattinson will not make things on the “Breaking Dawn Part 2” promo tour incredibly awkward. It won’t, Kristen recently told reporters.

While Robert and the “Twilight” cast were at the MTV Video Music Awards 2012 to introduce a new clip from the upcoming installment in the vampire saga, Kristen was in Toronto, for the premiere of “On the Road,” in which she plays one of the three leads.

While there, she told reporters that she and Pattinson are “fine,” the Daily Mail informs.

“‘We’re going to be fine,’ Kristen said when asked about the potentially awkward public appearances the twosome will have to make in November while promoting The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2. ‘We’re totally fine,’ she added, as an afterthought,” the British publication writes.

While the question was about “Breaking Dawn,” not few were those who saw in Kristen’s answer an assurance that she and Robert were still together, despite the media scandal.

Nothing could be farther from the truth, HollywoodLife writes, citing an inside source.

By choosing to refuse to accept that her romance with Pattinson is over, Stewart is being “delusional,” the insider says.

It won’t make things better or less awkward for her and Robert once the time comes to play nice for the cameras either.

“Kristen may be delusional if she thinks that things are OK,” says the tipster, who claims to be well in the know with this because of his / her position with Summit Entertainment, the movie studio behind the “Twilight” juggernaut.

“[Rob is] still very emotional about the situation and isn’t ready to forgive her,” the insider goes on to say.

“The time that has passed has helped, but things are still not OK between them both, if it will be at all. Rob is still ‘embarrassed’ by the whole situation,” HL adds.

“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2” isn’t out in theaters until November 16 but the cast will be promoting it starting this month or the next at the latest. In other words, we’ll see whether these two stars are “totally fine” very soon.

In the meantime, here's Kristen in Toronto:
