Delta Force: Black Hawk Down is a videogame developed and published by NovaLogic Inc. The game was released for the PlayStation 2 console from Sony, the original Xbox from Microsoft, the PC and the Mac. It was launched in July 2005. The game is classed as a shooter title, played from a first person perspective or from a third person perspective. It is based on a historical event.
Delta Force: Black Hawk Down is one of the first military shooters whose story and gameplay are based on an event that took place in the real world. The action is set in Somalia and follows, pretty loosely, the events depicted in the Black Hawk Down book and movie. The missions you will take part in are pretty varied, as you will get to escort convoys, destroy weapons caches and rescue hostages. There are some missions where you are tasked with manning the machine guns on Humvees and Black Hawks.
After a few initial missions, you get a chance to take part in Operation Irene, the attempt by the United States and the United Nations to capture some Somali warlords who impeded on humanitarian efforts. The firefights and chaos of battle are well simulated and there are sections where your character has to work quickly through masses of enemies to get to certain checkpoints.
GLITCHES
Sideways gun and items
When you are near an ammo box and you see a weapon which you can take, try to take out your binoculars. Keep them out as you are approaching the ammo box and the new weapon. When the game tells you to switch weapons, press X.
Switch from the binoculars to another gun and as you switch, your gun should be sideways, resulting in a very serious bug. Also, your secondary weapon and every other weapon you can equip should be sideways. This gives you a better look at the weapons but makes the game unplayable.
