If you have set your mind on getting a new desktop PC, then you should probably wait until the Round Rock, Texas-based Dell officially intros the new Studio XPX 435, a rig that just surfaced on the company's website. According to early details, the new Studio XPS will be powered by an Intel Core i7 processor and will
become available in a sleek new body, alongside what appears to be a new LCD screen.

The new system has apparently been built on Intel's latest high-end chipset platform, the X58, which provides users with support for Core i7 processors and triple-channel DDR3 memory. A quick look at the system's specifications seems to indicate that the new Studio XPS 435 desktop computer has been designed for high-performance computing and that it would be focused on the performance-demanding workstation segment.

Dell's Studio XPS 435 will boast Intel's highest-performance desktop processor to date, the Core i7 965 Extreme Edition, with a core speed of 3.2GHz. The system can support a maximum of 24GB of triple-channel DDR3 memory and up to 4.5TB of storage space using 3 hard disk drives. For extreme performance, the new Studio XPS desktop can support ATI's Radeon HD4870 1GB GDDR5 graphics card and an optional creative PC Express Sound Blaset X-Fi Xtreme Audio.

Additional features include an optional Blu-ray Disc, a DVD RW optical drive, integrated Gigabit Ethernet and optional wireless-N connectivity, four USB 2.0 ports, a 15-in-1 card reader, eSATA and SPDIF connector and a PSU of 475 watts. The system will ship with the user's choice for a Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit or a Vista Ultimate 64-bit edition operating system. Unfortunately, the PC vendor hasn't yet announced the product, which means that we are still to find out details regarding the system's pricing and availability.
