Dell has finally given away their sexy concept LCD monitor the company has been talked about for some time. Although the new 22-inch display won't be available for enthusiasts until the Consumer Electronics Show
, the monitor's specifications have been revealed.

The Crystal is a 22-inch LCD-enabled widescreen that can deliver a maximum resolution of 1680x1050, which is not exactly enough for full high-definition content compatibility, but the leaked documentation only recommends it as "suitable for casual entertainment and general productivity." The display features company's TrueColor Technology, that gives an average color gamut of 98 percent. The gamut gain however is compensated by a response time set at just 2ms gray-to-gray, which makes the monitor quite slow when it comes to gaming.

The display brightness is alleged to vary around 270cd/m², which is a little above the average figures. As far as the technical specifications are concerned, it seems that Dell's new display is more focused on the form, and not on increased functionality, as expected.

The monitor's looks are really amazing. The panel is surrounded by a premium, 4-milimeter ultra-clear tempered glass frame that accommodates the display's ouch-controlled buttons, the miniature 2 MegaPixel webcam and the set of four speakers discretely interconnected through circuit-like wiring.

The stand allows the user to tilt the display from 2 to 15 degrees, but these are the only physical adjustments allowed. There is no additional height adjustment or swivel for a hassle free positioning. The exquisite finishing is completed by the lack of cables in the rear panel. A single cable gathers all the connectivity, including DVI and HDMI with HDCP, a subwoofer out, USB and the power connector. What strikes most is that Dell has not included support for DisplayPort technology, although it is a big supporter.

The company has not given an estimative price for what can be called the sexiest monitor ever, but rumor has it that it will sell at about $1,199. But how many things we do for love?
