It’s official, folks! The Dell Chromebook 11 has made its first appearance into the wild. As I have said earlier today, the device will be marketed at the educational sector, with a consumer variant coming later in 2014.

So we bet you’ve been pretty curious to know what kind of specifications Dell has packed in with the new Chrome device. Well, the notebook has an 11-inch screen (obviously) with a 1366 x768 pixel resolution and draws its life force from a Haswell-based Intel Celeron 2955U processor coupled with 4GB of RAM, reports Liliputing.

On top of that, Dell offers 16GB of solid state storage, 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0 ports and HDMI out.

The Chromebook is expected to provide up to 10 hours of battery life, enough for homework and presentations at school. Dell has also bundled its offering with the Wyse PocketCloud software to enable teachers and students to access documents, media and other files in-cloud.

The starting price for a Dell Chromebook has been set at $300 / €218 and the first markets to see the laptop in flesh will be the US and UK.
