Dell has been coming back to life in the last few weeks. The company finally pushed the long promised Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update for its Venue 8 7840 tablet, and today it is releasing a bunch of new laptops.

They are called Vostro 14 and Vostro 15 and are targeted towards small business owners, home office workers, and mobile professionals.

The two new notebooks aren’t something you’ll drool over uncontrollably, but their mid-range specifications are good enough for daily activities.

The Vostro 14 takes advantage of a 14-inch display, while the Vostro 15 has a 15.6-inch screen, both with FHD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels).

The official press release says that the laptops are powered by the latest Intel Broadwell processor, available up to Core i5, plus up to 8GB of RAM.

There’s an NVIDIA GPU inside with up to 2GB of memory, so users will also be able to run graphics-rich applications.

Dell promises 9 hours of battery life on the Vostro 14 and 8 hours/42 minutes on the Vostro 15. Other features include an optical drive, VGA output, Gigabit Ethernet, 10-key numeric pad (for the 15-incher) and up to 1TB HDD for data storage.

Both laptops are currently available from Dell’s US website and sell for $349 / €310 and up.
