Dell's latest high-end mobile phones have just made an appearance on the hallways at FCC, both of them with support for T-Mobile USA's network. We're referring here to the Dell Venue and Dell Venue Pro smartphones, the former running under Google's Android operating system, while the later is based on the Windows Phone 7 platform from Microsoft.

Dell Venue, the handset that emerged for the first time into the wild a few months ago under the name of Dell Thunder, emerged at FCC with model code “V03B002” attached to it, and with support for 1700MHz AWS 3G networks.

This is the second version of the device to receive approval from FCC, following a Dell Venue version that sports WCDMA Band II / V bands, and which received certification several days ago.

As for the Venue Pro, Dell's first step into the Windows Phone 7 segment, the device was already announced officially as landing in the United States with support for T-Mobile's network, though no official release date was announced until now.

The FCC filing for Dell Venue Pro does not offer too many new details on the device, but show that it should not be too long before the phone is made available for purchase.

The handset will be released in the country via Dell's own store, but will sport T-Mobile connectivity, most probably backed by various contract offerings too.

However, the handset will have a strong competitor on the wireless carrier's airwaves in the form of HTC HD7, which was already put on pre-order, and which comes with the largest touchscreen display available with a Windows Phone 7 device.

Both Dell Venue and Venue Pro pack 4.1-inch displays and 1GHz processors, along with 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options, enough memory to fit the needs of most users, and a photo snapper on the back.

It still remains to be seen when exactly would Dell plan on making the two smartphones available for purchase in the US, so keep an eye on this space for more.

The handsets can be seen at FCC here and here, for the Android and Windows Phone 7 device, respectively.
