One of the oldest Windows Phone handsets, Dell Venue Pro is reportedly receiving the long-awaited Windows Phone 7.8 update.
The folks at
EsPhoneBlog claim the Dell Venue Pro owners in Finland can now upgrade their smartphones via Zune desktop software.
Keep in mind that this update has been confirmed for unbranded versions of Dell Venue Pro, so those who own carrier-branded models might have to wait a bit longer.
Software version 7.10.8858.136 should bring lots of new features and improvements, though we’ve already reported the update adds a few nasty bugs that will hopefully be addressed soon.
Dell Venue Pro and
HTC HD7 are among the oldest smartphones eligible for the recently launched Windows Phone 7.8 update.
However, we expect other handset makers to make the upgrade available for their devices in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
