Computer maker Dell seems to have some problems with putting its new Dell Venue Pro smartphone on shelves, at least when it comes to the UK market. The company was expected to make the Windows Phone 7 device available for purchase since December, but delayed it, and it seems that February might not see it on sale either. Apparently, the company already confirmed that the handset got delayed once again, although it did not offer a specific release date for it.

“We have seen a very positive response to the Dell Venue Pro, the first vertical QWERTY Windows Phone 7 Smartphone, from both media and customers,” Ellen Murphy, Dell's EMEA Consumer PR Manager, told TechRadar.

“Unfortunately we have experienced some delays in the shipment of the Dell Venue Pro for select regions, including the UK, and we will offer it for sale once we are completely satisfied and ready to do so.”

As stated above, no official availability date for this device in the UK was confirmed for the time being, though unofficial info on the matter suggests that early March could be the lucky time frame.

After listing the phone with a possible availability date set for February 2nd, Expansys has attached the “Monday 7th March” release day to this smartphone. However, this does not confirm that Dell would indeed put Venue Pro on shelves next month.

Even so, the company says it is working hard on ensuring that it would manage to bring the smartphone to the market with the best possible experience on board, and that this would be the main delay reason.

“Dell is committed to delivering a positive experience with the Venue Pro, as with all our other products and services, and will do everything possible to ensure both our partners and customers are satisfied with their purchase and experience,” Ellen Murphy reportedly continued.

“Teams are working around the clock globally to reduce the delay and we realize there is no substitute for shipping product.”

We should note that some of the latest rumors suggested that Dell might be set to unveil new Windows Phone 7 handsets in the near future. Hopefully, the company would manage to put them on shelves faster than it did with Venue Pro.
