As you have probably found out, Intel has recently updated its processor platform with the introduction of the much-anticipated P55 platform, featuring the chip maker's new LGA1156 socket and compatible Core i5 and Core i7 processors. Following the official debut of the new platform, a number of PC vendors have rushed to announce their updated portfolios, boasting the new processors and platform. On that note, Round Rock, Texas-based Dell has just announced the debut of its new Vostro 430 mini tower desktop, designed for business users and featuring the latest processors, graphics cards and support for Microsoft's long-awaited Windows 7 operating system.

“In the last six months, Dell has underscored its commitment to small and medium business by launching Vostro laptops and desktops that offer the features, services, reliability, and resources to meet their distinctive needs,” said Sam Burd global vice president, Dell Small and Medium Business. “The Vostro 430 is another great example of how we are providing small and medium businesses with a compelling reason to refresh their technology; with a desktop that meets their needs today, and leaves plenty of room to grow.”

Boasting support for Intel's Core i5 and Core i7 processors, compatible with the P55 platform, the new Vostro 430 mini tower desktop PC is designed to support up to 16GB of DDR3 memory or up to 2TB of internal storage, using two available hard drive bays. As far as graphics is concerned, the new business-oriented desktop has been designed to support some of the latest cards from both NVIDIA and ATI, users being provided with an array of choices regarding this segment.

Starting with a price tag of US$699, which will provide you with a Core i5-750-powered configuration, the new Vostro 430 mini tower desktop PC is available now for ordering directly from the company's website. As you can expect, a free upgrade to Windows 7 is available upon purchase.
