Round Rock, Texas-based Dell, one of the world's leading vendors of personal computer systems, has just announced the expansion of its line of Vostro PCs, designed to meet the performance and design requirements of business users. The company is now expanding its lineup with the introduction of three new laptops that will become available in 14.1-inch and 15.6-inch form factors. Dubbed Vostro 1014, 1015 and 1088, the new systems are said to have been built to provide users with new alternatives for the entry-level market segment.

The new Vostro notebooks have been featured with some of the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors, coupled with up to 4GB of RAM, 5400RPM hard drives with up to 320GB of storage and built-in 5-in-1 media card reader. The new laptops have also been featured with optional integrated 2MP webcams, wireless WiFi 802.11 draft-N technology and WLED LCDs, designed to provide them with a greater battery life.

Dell's Vostro 1014 and 1015 models are pretty much the same, with the main difference that the former will provide users with a 14.1-inch display, while the latter will boast a larger 15.6-inch display. These two systems are powered by Intel's integrated graphics solution. As for the Vostro 1088, users will receive a 14.1-inch laptop that will be featured with an increased-performance ATI Mobility HD 4330 graphics chip, a step over the Intel integrated graphics. Unfortunately, the increased graphics offered by the ATI Mobility graphics chip will also leave its mark on the system's total weight.

Designed for business users, these new laptops are said to already be available in Europe and are expected to reach Asia and Japan starting today. Users in Latin America, United States and Canada should also have the chance to purchase them in the upcoming months. Available in several color options, these laptops come with starting price tags of £255 (US$421).
