If you were planning to purchase Dell's 30-inch LCD monitor in the 3008WFP series, we are sorry to announce you that you're late to the party. Dell has just pulled the whole stock off shelves because of an alleged technical issue affecting its product.

30-inch LCD display have enjoyed huge appreciation on the gaming and high-definition multimedia markets, and their success is one of the reasons Dell has been struggling to get its 3008WFP products into the spotlight since December last year.

The 30-incher was a complete jaw-breaker last year, as we have previously reported. Dell's 3008WFP was not only a top-notch offering, with a huge resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a plethora of video connectors (integrated HDMI, DisplayPort as well as composite, component, S-Video and DVI), but it integrated all the features into an innovative yet simple design.

However, its dominance on the 30-inch LCD display market was short-lived, and Dell pulled the 3008WFP off its online store. Those of you who have already ordered a 3008WFP unit will receive the desired display, but the LCD monitors will not be mass-available for an unknown period of time.

Rumor has it that the mysterious pull-off is motivated by a technical glitch that prevents the device from normally functioning, although there are neither complaints nor any Dell-issued recalls for warranty.

According to the same rumors, the technical issues were initially spotted in February this year, but they were supposed to have been fixed. According to Dell, the existing orders are managed on a prioritized basis until further notification.

However, given the fact that there are no reports of hardware failure, and there have been no recalls, it is alleged that the manufacturer is running in short supply with its 30-inch LCD displays, which forces Dell to run on stock.

Dell was not available for contact at the moment of writing.
