Dell has just added some new budget models to its Inspiron notebook portfolio, complete with touch-based capabilities and improved battery life.

Even if most low cost notebooks don't come with batteries that can offer a lot of working time, the Dell Inspiron 11 3000 series features the new Intel Haswell chips which are advertised by Intel as being super power efficient.

And according to Dell, for $379 / €284 consumers will get up to eight hours and 20 minutes of active device use. Considering that Dell's newest addition is not supposed to be a powerhouse, the offering is pretty note-worthy.

Other specs about the new series haven't been unveiled yet, except for the 11.6-inch capacitive screen. The Verge adds that the Inspiron 11 3000 series has been designed for portability, weighing just 3.15 lb / 1428 g and being 0.83 inches / 2.1 cm thick.

What's more, Dell is taking a turn in terms of what bloatware (software that comes pre-installed on a device) is going to be featured on the upcoming notebooks.

There's no information yet about which apps are going to be present, but we should find out soon enough.

Dell has announced that the Inspiron 11 3000 series will be unleashed on October 3.
