Round Rock, Texas-based Dell has announced today the expansion of its desktop Studio XPS range of computer systems with the addition of the new XPS 435 model. Designed to take advantage of Intel's latest high-end desktop processors, the new Studio XPS desktop PC has already been made available at the company's website. Dell fans and computer users will now be able to configure and purchase the new rig directly from the company's website for a starting price of $1,099.

As most high-end systems currently available on the market, the new Studio XPS desktop rig from Dell has been designed to incorporate Intel's latest processor technology. The Nehalem-based Core i7 processors will now be powering up the new high-end system, providing users with the latest in computing performance. Dell's Studio XPS 435 is capable of providing support for a maximum of 24GB of DDR3 1066MHz memory in a triple-channel configuration. On the graphics side, the Studio XPS 435 can be equipped with an ATI Radeon HD4870 1GB GDDR5 video card.

In addition, the new system offers up to 4.5TB of storage space and a dual optical drive configuration. There's also an integrated 15-in-1 media card reader, built-in infrared receiver and an optional Blu-Ray disc. The exterior design of the rig boasts a pure white and translucent black bezel with crimson orange trim, while a media tray with 3 angled USB ports enables quick access for any user.

The system will first be available for users in the U.S., and it comes at a starting price tag of $1099. Users in Asia and select European countries will be able to purchase the new rig starting in early March and June, respectively. Given the performance capabilities of the new system, one could say that it could easily be targeted at the workstation market segment.
