A new Dell device has just made an appearance over at the WiFi Alliance, suggesting that it might not be too long before a new flavor of Dell Streak is brought to the market.

Whether that would be a Streak 2, or the already rumored Opus One successor for the already popular Internet tablet, it remains to be seen. However, one thing is certain here, namely the fact that this would follow the Dell Streak on the company's line of Android devices.

The original Dell Streak came to shelves with model number M01M attached to it, regardless the network support for various versions. The AT&T flavor available in the US sports this model number, and the same applies to the T-Mobile-compatible device that already passed through FCC.

Basically, this suggests that the new Dell device with the M02M model number attached to it would have everything to do with the Dell Streak. It seems that the previously rumored Opus One device is indeed nearing its launch day.

However, when compared to the previous device, the new Dell tablet PC would sport a nice range of enhancements, including better WiFi connectivity.

The new M02M comes with support for the 802.11n Wi-Fi standard, something that missed from the equation with Dell Streak. The tablet PC is also expected to pass the Bluetooth certification soon, a recent article on Pocketnow reads.

But things are not as simple as one might believe, apparently. While there is the possibility that this device would indeed be the Streak 2 aka the Dell Opus One, we might also look at another successor for Dell's tablet PC, the 7-inch Dell Looking Glass, which was spotted in September.

The Opus One would include a 5-inch screen at a higher resolution, a dual-core processor, and other enhancements, while the 7-inch tablet would sport a different hardware configuration.

What exactly would this device be all about is unclear at the moment, but, with CES right around the corner, and with many appealing devices expected to be unveiled there, we wouldn't be surprised if Dell made this tablet PC official there as well. The recent price cut that Streak experienced suggests the same.
