Dell recently rolled out the Dell Latitude 13 7000 of super-safe convertibles for business users, which will take advantage of Intel’s new Broadwell platform, but that’s not all the company has new up its sleeve.

The device maker has pulled the veil off the Inspiron 14 7000 series which is a family of high performance laptops that are targeted at youths.

As Ubergizmo reports, the new series takes advantage of the latest quad-core Core i7 processor options from the Haswell family that will be working hand in hand with NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics with 4GB RAM. But for the time being we don’t know the exact GPU options Dell will be offering.

All this will be fitted with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB hybrid hard drive. The lappy will bring about a plethora of ports including HDMI out, media card reader, three USB ports (one of them is USB PowerShare).

Dell will be giving the option of adding a backlit keyboard too, if you’re into that thing. Furthermore, the battery inside is said to sustain a life of up to 8.4 hours.

For all this, parents will have to take out of their pocket no more, no less than $1,355 / €1,047 which is quite a lot for a teen-friendly laptop. But what’s money when you are keeping your kid happy, right?
