A few days ago, Dell rolled out a new version of its popular Venue 8 Pro lineup, which consists of the 3000 Series.

The new arrivals sell for a lower price tag but bring less RAM memory storage and no digitizer pen. While US customers can pick up this more affordable version, Dell is launching a different model exclusively for the Japanese market.

Dell EveryPad Pro goes on sale in Japan

Say hello to the Dell EveryPad Pro, which comes equipped with Windows 8.1 with Bing and sells for around $486 / €389, reports GSM Insider.

For this money, customers will be getting a tablet with an 8-inch IPS LCD display with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. Inside lies an Intel Atom Z3775D processor fitted with 2GB of RAM backed up by 64GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD).

The tablet also has a 5MP rear-facing camera plus a 1.2MP front-facing one and is equipped with a 4G LTE chip on the inside.

The tablet is not very different from the Dell Venue 8 Pro family the company is currently selling in the US. However, even if the tablet is part of the Windows 8.1 with Bing family, it’s a little different.

We're saying that because it does not offer the standard 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and it takes things up a notch in both departments. It’s possible that the demands of the Japanese market are a bit higher than usual, so that’s why Dell took to re-branding some of its current tablet products.

Dell has been quite active, tablet-wise

Dell has been quite active in terms of tablets, lately. The company launched the Venue 8 7000 Series tablet not so long ago. The product is quite impressive because of one aspect in particular. It’s probably the thinnest we have seen so far, coming at 6 mm / 0.24 inch.

The iPad Air 2 comes pretty close at 6.1 mm / 0.24 inch, but the Venue 8 7000 Series remains on top. The tablet has an 8.4-inch OLED display with 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution and an Intel Atom Z3500 series chip.

Furthermore, the device takes advantage of Intel’s RealSense 3D camera which can shoot 3D video.

Also, in related news, Dell seems to want to give its Venue 11 Pro family a CPU upgrade, by bumping it up to Intel Core M.

The tablet will be offered in combination with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, so it should prove to be quite the productivity tool.
