Dell E2013H, a 20-Inch LED Monitor Sold for Around $100 / 78 Euro

Here is a monitor that does not actually support Full HD image quality, as its resolution is of 1600 x 900 pixels, not 1920 x 1080, or 1920 x 1200.

Called E2013H, it was made by Dell and focuses on energy efficiency more than it does on performance and quality.

It still has decent viewing angles though (170 degrees horizontal, 160 degrees vertical), as well as a good response time (5 ms), a contrast ratio of 1,000:1, and a brightness of 250 cd/m2.

Connectivity is the one area, besides the resolution, where customers may find Dell's monitor lacking: there are only DVI-I and D-Sub inputs (no HDMI or DisplayPort).

At least the power efficiency is good. The standby power drain is of a scant 0.5W, while the top energy consumption is of 14W.

When sales finally start (that should be soon), consumers will need to pay around $100 / 78-100 Euro if they want this LED-backlit monitor.
