As we’re waiting for Toshiba to pull the veil off its first Chromebook ever at CES 2014, Dell has taken the opportunity to announce some details about the availability of its own Chrome lappy.

The company announced its Chromebook 11 in December and said back then that it would target the notebook at the educational sector first.

Now Dell says the notebook will be making it to the UK, but makes no mention of the price, The Register reports. As for the US, the tech giant states the Chromebook is “expected to sell bellow $300 / €221/ £183 “.

Prices in the UK will probably be higher due to the additional 20% cent VAT so British customers should expect to see the Chromebook arrive with a price tag ranging from £220 / $360 / €265 to £250 / $409 / €301.

As a quick refresh, the Dell Chromebook should come sporting an 11-inch screen with a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution and draw power from a 1.4GHz Intel Celeron 2955U processor (from the Haswell family) coupled with 4GB of RAM and backed-up by 16GB of RAM.

Moreover, customers will encounter dual-band 802.11n Wi-Fi, two USB 3.0 ports and HDMI out. The 4GB of RAM model of the Chromebook will go on sale this month, but there’s another 2GB of RAM version incoming this quarter.
