Microsoft will soon debut the new Windows 8 operating system and although official pricing details are yet to be unveiled, the company has already signed several partnerships to encourage users to make the move to this new OS.
Dell customers can
purchase a Windows 8 Pro license for only $14.99 / €11.50 if they get an eligible Windows 7 PC.
There are a few catches though. First, the offer is limited to individual customers only, so commercial enterprises are not allowed to participate.
Secondly, the computer must come with a valid Windows 7 Certificate of Authenticity and a preinstalled version of Windows 7 Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional or Ultimate.
Microsoft has already created a Windows Update Offer website, so just head over to
this page, enter your code and redeem your upgrade. After the
October 25 launch, that is.
