One may know of Dell's Alienware series for being one of the most popular lines of gaming notebooks in the world, and it seems like other companies, in this case Klipsch, would like to make the best of said hype.

High-end notebooks come in multiple forms, but what they all have in common is that they employ the best hardware available.

Some special series of such machines, however, really let loose, regardless of costs, in order to provide not just prowess, but also aesthetic value.

The Dell Alienware collection of gaming laptops is one of said lines and is actually helping other makers of hardware become better known, so to speak.

Simply put, any company can safely say that it has high-quality products if it manages to get an Alienware laptop to integrate one or more of its inventions.

In this particular instance, it is Klipsch that got its THX-certified ProMedia 2.1 speakers inside the Alienware M17x 3D laptop.

"We are honored to have the opportunity to team up with Alienware and can't wait to experience the excitement in the marketplace surrounding the release of this new laptop series," said Chris Aiello, Klipsch product manager for personal audio.

"By fusing 3D technology with unmatched built-in, Klipsch-refined laptop sound performance, Alienware is truly defining an entirely new product category. We're thrilled to play a role in it."

For those that want some reminder on the machine itself, it boasts a quad-core Intel Core i7 Sandy bridge CPU at its heart, complemented by hardware more than fit for high-quality, 3D gaming.

Speaking of 3D, the 17-inch LCD is a stereoscopic Full HD panel (1,920 x 1,080 pixel resolution) with a refresh rate of 120 Hz (60 Hz for each eye in 3D mode).

Sales of the Alienware M17x should start this month, for the price of $1,499 and the product page can be found here.
