Even though no official announcements have been made, Dell's first Android smartphone, Aero is now available for purchase in India for only Rs. 11,999 (about $267).

It appears that the electronics manufacturer plans to deplete its Dell Aero stocks and India seems the perfect location.

Major online retailer Letsbuy is now selling the Dell Aero in India and promises to deliver the product for free within 3-5 working days.

Although Dell Aero was originally launched in North America, the company stopped retailing the smartphone for quite some time.

Those who wish to give the device a try should know that Dell Aero runs Google's older Android 2.1 (Eclair) platform.

However, the phone is delivered with a Dell customized user interface, which claims to be more user friendly than the stock Android interface.

The handset is powered by a single core Marvell PXA310 processor clocked at 624 MHz speed, which is supposed to render the phone with fast and smooth functioning, multitasking, faster browsing and gaming.
