Dell has just introduced the new XPS 730 H2C gaming desktop offering. The new computer is especially suitable for any kind of computing-intensive applications, such as gaming and complex 3D rendering. According to the computer manufacturer, the XPS 730 H2C edition is one of the most powerful desktop systems in the world.

The system vendor also claims that the new gaming behemoth can play Crysis at full 1920x1200 resolutions with more than 30 frames per second, a performance that has hardly been achieved until now in a high-end gaming configuration.

Crysis is one of the most resource-intensive applications on the gaming market, thanks to its vivid, life-like rendering algorithm. Many gamers have complained about the game's high resource requirements, and the XPS 730 H2C might be the key to a decent Crysis experience.

The XPS 730 desktop systems are powered by Intel's ultimate quad-core processors and also sport quad-GPU graphics configurations. If Asustek's G70 gaming notebook was built with a dual configuration, Dell's new gaming desktop system goes completely quad: quad-core processor, quad- GPU graphics solutions and support for four hard-disk drives.

The desktop system can be optionally equipped with Dell's H2C cooling solution for optimal heat dissipation and maximum quad-core performance. Users can also choose either the Painted Anodized Aluminum H2C or Silver Brushed Aluminum chassis with an optional X-View clear panel.

Although the system packs quite some performance, extreme users can opt for a factory-overclocked Intel Core 2 Extreme processor and Corsair DOMINATOR DDR3 memory.

"There is a measure of satisfaction involved in delivering products that meet the expectations of a unique set of customers who are incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, intense and competitive", said Arthur Lewis, head of Dell's gaming group. "With XPS and Alienware gaming systems we've been progressively delivering an awe-inspiring experience to gamers", he continued, further stating that this way they have taken the gaming experience to a whole new level.

The XPS 730 series of gaming rigs come with a starting price of $3,999, while the water-cooled version sells for a whooping price of $4,999.
