14 DAY TRIAL // Food and mobile phones are both important for our lives, so why not combine them together? Cell phone straps that represent various food items are not something new, but these recently unveiled ones seem to be.
Ever thought of wearing a bowl of soup with your phone? I know I haven't, and I also know I don't want to, but there are mobile users out there who might have this desire. In consequence, some brave manufacturers from China came up with lots of phone strap models that cover a wide range of "things" that we generally keep in our fridges and (also generally) we stick our teeth in.
Just Another Mobile Phone Blog posted lots of images with these new food straps. Some of them actually look good and are wearable - take the ice cream ones for example, the strawberry, the chocolate or the cookie ones. I can really see a slim mobile phone to go with them (although I guess only girls would wear cookies and strawberries, but that's not important). Other straps, on the other hand, are pretty weird to go with a cell phone: a soup ball, broccoli, bacon, fried chicken and so on.
Now, why would you want to wear a bacon phone strap? Sure, you can be obsessed with food, hence wanting to include your obsession in everything around you - in this case a bacon mobile phone strap would be, I guess, a cool accessory. But for "normal people", a mobile phone is probably incompatible with bacon.
The food mobile phone straps are probably cheap, and a bacon one can't cost more than a few bucks, especially since it is made out of ordinary plastic. But instead of buying one, some real bacon would be better. You can't attach it to your phone, but it sure tastes better.
