Piriform has released a fresh update for Defraggler, their defragmentation application for Windows. The new revision is 2.12 and it brings to the table support for Windows 2012 Server and for drives mounted as NTFS junction points.

Starting with this release, Defraggler is more flexible as far as the options for scheduled defrag jobs are concerned because it adds the possibility to delay the task if a specific process is still running.

Also new is the availability of advanced crash reporting, which should provide the developer with a better view at the cause of the stability issues occurring on various system configurations.

Improvements touch on placement of fragments larger than 100MB, GUI and overall usability of the application.

Less significant modifications present in Defraggler 2.12 refer to translations, which have been updated and minor bug fixes.

Download Defraggler; also available as a portable app.
