Piriform rolled out today a new build for their hard disk defragmentation utility, Defraggler. It adds support for Windows 8 and expands functionality by introducing new usability options.
of the program adds the possibility to minimize it to system tray and a new feature that allows you to move a file to the end of the hard disk.
Improvements are also available and touch on the free space calculation operation performed by the application.
On the same note, the build has better support for “/ percent” parameter for “df.exe”. Also, drive map block calculation for very small drives should be much better.
As far as repairs are concerned, Defraggler 2.11 fixes the issues with exclusions in “df.exe”, SSDs queued for defrag are handled correctly and shortcuts are taken into consideration correctly when calculating the fragmentation level.
You can get Defraggler from this link. The application is also available as a portable download, which can be found here
