14 DAY TRIAL // A man that ran over a deer and put it in his trunk must have been surprised when the animal he presumed dead jumped out of his car, still very much alive.
The Blaze describes how officials from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety saw him sitting alone in his car in a hotel car park at 2 a.m. and asked him what he was doing.
He told them about hitting the deer and how he planned on cooking it, opening the trunk to prove it. Police were actually relieved to see the animal, as the scene, captured on dash cam, appeared quite suspicious.
“You never know. There could be worse things in trunks,” officers say.
The deer sprung out and ran to the woods, and while it twisted and turned a bit at first, it seemed uninjured.
