Announced in mid-May, Deepcool's monstrous Assassin twin tower CPU cooler was on display at the company's Computex 2011 booth, together with a wide variety of other cooling solutions ranging from notebook stands to VGA heatsinks.

The Assassin can be paired together with as much as three fans, and Deepcool has used a special diamond-shaped pattern for the cooler's twin heatsinks in order to decrease the turbulence produced by the installed fans.

In addition to lowering turbulence, this design should also decrease the noise produced by the cooler, even when running at full throttle.

Only two fans are shipped together with the Assassin, one measuring 140mm while the other measures 120mm, and the larger of these two is placed right between the twin towers to draw hot air through the heatsink.

The second one is placed so that it would push fresh air into the Assassin and both of these come with a rubber cover frame to minimize vibrations.

The heat dissipated by the fans is drawn from the copper base covering the CPU through eight 6mm thick heatpipes.

No information regarding the maximum cooling capacity of the Assassin was provided, but the cooler looks like it will be able to keep up with pretty much any high-performance CPU available out there.

The Deepcool Assassin is shipped together with a universal mounting system, which supports all of Intel's and AMD's recent sockets, including LGA 1155, LGA 1366 and AM3+.

No details about pricing are available at this time, and Deepcool also refused to comment about the launch date of the cooler.

Outside of the Assassin, Deepcool has also showcased other CPU cooler models, such as the Fiend Shark or Gamer Storm, the V6000 VGA cooler and a special laptop cooling pad that is made out of bamboo. (via Expreview)
