Capcom has attempted to further clarify the issue of the upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive action role-playing game Deep Down not featuring any female characters.

Although the developers mentioned earlier that the presence of a male-only cast was due to the game's storyline, apparently the news still sparked some confusion among the community, and even among Capcom members.

Deep Down producer Kazunori Sugiura sought to explain the all-male cast on the game's official Facebook page, stating that it was a misconception, and that Deep Down actually has only ONE male protagonist, as its story tells that all his other companions are actually Ravens.

The story is being developed around him and his Raven comrades, and although the game is full of swords and sorcery, Deep Down is set in the future, in 2094's New York City.

Sugiura concludes that Deep Down's overseas release is undecided at this stage, but that further information will be disclosed in the future, the team being grateful for the interest shown in their creation.

Deep Down is set to release some time during 2014, exclusively for Sony's PlayStation 4 console.
