Capcom has revealed another gameplay video for their upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive dungeon crawler, Deep Down, with the occasion of the E3 convention taking place in Los Angeles.

The game is set in the year 2094 and places players in the shoes of an adventurer that leaves the comfort of his New York City apartment in order to delve into medieval dungeons teeming with fearsome beasts and gruesome monsters.

The method by which players will be able to do so it by "reading" the memories of some magical artifacts, which will transport them to dungeons of the distant past, where they can battle and loot to their heart's content.

The game will also support up to four players in co-operative multiplayer, which sounds like just the thing such a game needs in order to be even more awesome.

Deep Down seems a bit similar to From Software's acclaimed role-playing game series Dark Souls, but the semblance may just be as superficial as just the dark vibe, medieval weaponry and methodical combat. Taking into account the fact that Capcom also made Dragon's Dogma, it's likely due to Dark Souls' popularity more than anything else.

The game will be free to play and has only been announced for the Japanese market so far, as a PlayStation 4 exclusive game.
