Google Chrome is four years old today. Even if you don't use Chrome or even if don't like it, you have to thank it for making all other browsers better.
Ever since Chrome came about with a big emphasis on speed and security and a new, minimalistic UI, every other browser maker took notice.
Since then, JavaScript engines have improved several times over. Since then, the browser UI is a row of tabs and an address bar, not row upon rows of buttons and menus.
To give you a chance to reminisce about the days of yore, a full four years ago, Google put together a Time Machine which goes through all of the major changes, features and improvements that pushed Chrome forward along the way.
And, if you're up to the challenge, there's even an Easter Egg hidden in
there somewhere. Google is promising a treat to the one who discovers it. Last time around, Google sent a Chromebook to the inquisitive minds at Jamendo.
