Sports games always had and will continue to have their fans. Usually, these games tend to bring fans just one sporting genre but companies like Hudson Soft seem to believe that size does matter and that is one of the reasons they have decided to create Deca Sports, a ten-sports compilation, exclusively for the Nintendo Wii console. First detailed in January this year, the game has finally reached gold status and it is scheduled for a North American release on the 13th of May, for a recommended price of $29.99. A good thing to note is the fact that Hudson isn't scared by the date - Tuesday, the 13th of May (the European equivalent of Friday 13).

And they really should have no reason to worry, since the ten sports brought by Deca Sports to the Wii will certainly bring a little something for everyone, no matter how picky he or she is. The sports activities offered by Hudson Soft are Soccer, Beach Volleyball, Supercross, Kart Racing, Basketball or Snowboard Cross and some sports that you don't really get to see in your usual sports games, such as Badminton, Figure Skating, Curling and Archery. Being developed entirely for the Nintendo's Wii console, the game takes full advantage of the Wiimote and the Nunchuk (even though it will only be required to play three of the sports).

All ten sports support both single player and multiplayer modes, with up to 4 players being able to compete on one system and in several events. Also, team co-op is possible, and this will most likely generate huge amounts of fun (just imagine how cool a two-on-two beach volleyball would be!). Still, if you prefer being the lone rider, the single player modes will definitely entertain you, since multiple modes are available, including Open Match, Tournament, Deca Challenge and Deca League. So get ready, because this May turns into a sports month!
