Debian Installer, the official installation system for the Debian distribution since the Sarge release, developed the Debian Installer Team, is now at version 0.7 RC1.

Highlights of Debian Installer 0.7 RC1:

• The support for the theme=dark accessibility option has been fixed; • The display of the info messages (e.g. "Rescue mode" in the banner) is now working properly; • Speech synthesis support has been improved; • The misleading man-db title has been fixed for the GRUB prompt; • The GRUB menus used when booting in UEFI mode have been improved so they better match up with the equivalent syslinux menus; • the default UEFI display resolution has been changed to 800x600 for maximum compatibility.

Download Debian Installer 0.7 RC1 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
