The France-based Gameloft has just announced the release of a brand new "action meets racing" game for mobile phones, named Death Race. Developed after the signing of a new partnership with Universal Pictures, Death Race is inspired by the action movie with the same title, which will debut on August 22.

Players who dare to start the Death Race mobile game will enter the world of extreme racing, where only the toughest participants can win. The game's Story Mode features five episodes that bring various challenges: "Race", "Eliminator", "Shooter", "Boss Battles" and "Rampage", all of which offer a blend of racing and shooting. There is also a Quick Race Mode, where you can ramble on and race freely on unlocked levels.

The game includes seven different cars that you can choose from, as well as six power-ups (homing missiles and rockets, for example), hence there's a lot of action waiting for players.
