Anyone can now experience the new class

Blizzard is one of the most profitable firms out there, and, after the merger with another large gaming corporation, Activision, things are set to become even bigger for the new company. This is especially due to the massively popular franchises that Blizzard has, among them being the sales phenomenon World of Warcraft.

After seeing its second expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, launch a few months ago, the extremely popular MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) has become even more attractive to users, reaching a record breaking 11,5 million paying subscribers each month. This means that the company has assured itself a hefty profit for the development of other new titles, like StarCraft II and Diablo III.

As the Lich King was launched, a new hero class, the Death Knight, was introduced. The terms were that players who had an account with a character over level 55 on a server would be able to create a Death Knight avatar, but now it seems that things will change. Part of the next update will be that you won't be restricted to the servers on which you have your level-55 characters, but on any server, only if you have such a character on your account.

“With the next minor content update for World of Warcraft, we will be opening up death knight character creation so that if the account you play already has a level 55 or higher character in World of Warcraft, you will be able to create a new death knight on any realm within your region. Please keep in mind that restrictions still apply to new, non-transfer realms such that death knights cannot be created on those realms until you level a character to level 55 on that realm or until transfer restrictions are removed.”

It seems that Blizzard is quite keen on giving players who haven't experienced WoW for quite some time the ability to test out this new class. As things are going, it appears that Blizzard's game will keep on making a huge profit for quite some time.
