14 DAY TRIAL // For years, Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott seemed like the entirely happy perfect celebrity couple, but that was before reports about his infidelity started pouring in. The final drop in the bucket came late last year, when he got caught sleeping around and he’s been trying to win Tori back ever since.
Though she’s usually very open about most things about her personal life, the former “Beverly Hills 90210” hasn’t said a peep on the topic since the divorce rumors started making the rounds. The tabloids, on the other hand, have been having a field day.
The National Enquirer, for instance, writes in its latest print issue (story via CB) that Tori and Dean are still very much on the rocks despite his brief rehab stint from earlier this year and countless pleas to take him back.
He is literally dying to get Tori to see that he’s a changed man, but especially to understand that he would never cheat on her again and that he realizes how wrong he was to have done it so many times already.
As per insiders, Dean is absolutely terrified that Tori will leave him because she’s the sole breadwinner in the house and, even if she’s no longer as in demand as she used to be, she still makes more money than he does.
“Dean has a long way to go before Tori forgives him. His biggest fear is that she’ll divorce him and he’ll be left with nothing. So he’s on a mission to convince Tori that she’s still the love of his life. Dean has a lot of work to do. That’s why he wants to renew their vows. Dean really does love Tori AND he doesn’t want to lose his meal ticket,” an insider says.
The two were married in 2006 and renewed their vows for the first time 4 years into their marriage, in 2010. Another 4 years and one major scandal later, and it’s time to do it again. Dean is thinking their 8th wedding anniversary in May is the perfect occasion to do it, but he’s yet to convince Tori completely.
“Tori has a very long memory,” says a spy, referring to the many times he slept around on her. He, on the other hand, believes he could get her to forget “by giving her expensive gifts and massages, and renewing their vows, but it’s going to take a lot more than that.”
The other day, Tori was photographed out with a friend and she was wearing her wedding band. Even if she and Dean haven’t been seen together in public for many months, the fact that she still has her wedding band on could only mean one thing: she’s yet to give up on the marriage.
