The husband has a bone to pick with detractors

Dean McDermott is tired of being the bad guy and he wants you to know it. In a recent interview, the cheating husband decided to fight back at his detractors and make a stand. Dean claims that he has grown tired of being called “a monster” and he wants you to see him as just a regular guy.

The 47-year-old is quoted by Radar as saying that “I'm not the first person to ever cheat on his wife,” which has to be the world's thinnest excuse, but it seems to be working for him, and anyway, it's the only thing he's got at the moment.

Dean would like to point out that he's human too and his feelings are hurt if you keep calling him a monster

He goes on to lament, “I’m a human being and I messed up. I'm not a monster. I'm owning up to it and I'm getting help. But to label me a monster or evil is very hurtful.”

Finally, he explained that his affair had more to do with self discovery than actually having intercourse with a strange woman. Some men like to buy sports cars when they hit the midlife crisis, others take up an expensive hobby, but Dean decided that he would cheat on his wife.

Tori is still in hospital, posting miserable selfies, hinting at divorce

Meanwhile, the cheated wife Tori Spelling is still hurting over his infidelity. The actress and reality star was wondering about the future of her marriage just yesterday, as she sat in her hospital bed. Tori was rushed to the ER with Ebola-like symptoms, but it turned out to be just pneumonia.

In a photo on her Instagram profile, Tori looked miserable, and in the caption, she complained about a certain someone who was never there for her. It doesn't take someone with a PhD in astrophysics to realize that she was referring to her husband Dean and that she hinted at a possible divorce.

McDermott took the time to explain why Tori seemed to be headed for a meltdown. “The show we’re shooting is obviously very emotional. It’s six days a week. It finally caught up with her and took its toll, so she has bronchitis, sinusitis, and pneumonia and she’s getting great care at the hospital,” he said.

But while he's gushing over her, Tori seems to be in a foul mood, as she feels abandoned in her hospital bed, with her husband nowhere in sight.

It's this type of drama that convinced the network to pick up their reality series “True Tori” for another season, despite modest ratings. Someone at the network must feel that there is enough potential in the trials and tribulations of the Spelling-McDermott family to keep bringing them on screen.
