Videos of the fertilizer plant explosion that has left dozens dead and possibly hundreds injured in Texas have started to pop up online.

I have come across one such clip, in which a family sits in their vehicle filming the aftermath when their car is hit by flying debris.

*User discretion is advised when playing the video, as it includes language which can offend.

As the father holds the camera, the car is hit and you can hear a scared little girl in the back asking him to drive away, panicking and telling him that she cannot hear anything.

According to KWTX, some 170 people have been injured and the death toll at the plant stands at 60-70.

Authorities have not confirmed the number of fatalities at this point, but I will keep you updated as more details are released.

The blast took place at around 7.50 p.m. Wednesday when tanks filled with a toxic flammable substance blew up following a fire at the plant in West, Texas.

Fire fighters worked throughout the night to put out the flames, but by Thursday morning the blaze had not been put out.
