Hidetaka Suehiro, known to gamers as Swery, says that it’s unlikely Deadly Premonition will be launched on any platforms other than home consoles, but he suggested once more that a sequel might be in the works.

The developer tells MCV that, “If I had the chance to bring Deadly Premonition to these other formats, I might work on it. But I’d like to start a new project.”

His company might create a true follow-up for Deadly Premonition or a prequel to explain some elements of the game universe.

Suehiro also offered more information on the Director’s Cut version of the game, saying, “new players will be able to discover this unique world much easier than before.”

The new version of the game, on the PS3, is designed to support the Move motion control system and will also offer better controls and improved visuals.
