Dead to Rights is a videogame developed and published by Namco Hometeck. It was released for the PlayStation 2 gaming console from Sony, the original Xbox from Microsoft, the GameCube and the PC. It was launched in November 2002. The title can be played from a first or third person perspective, and is classed as an action game with some mystery elements.
The game puts the player in the shoes of Jack Slate, who is a police officer in the fictional Grant City. When he is out on a routine police patrol, Jack is framed by unknown forces for having killed his father, whose body he discovered. Not willing to take the blame, Jack becomes a runaway and tries to prove his being innocent. Along the way, he must fight a lot of enemies and piece together the identities of those who framed him.
The game takes place in a variety of locations, like hotels, office buildings, bars and even a prison, which you will get to see by playing the role of an inmate.
One of the best put together elements of the game is the combat. Jack is a very skilled fighter. He can throw a fire extinguisher at his enemies while shooting it; he can grab someone and protect himself by using their body. He can also perform a wide variety of unarmed moves that make the enemy lose their weapon and then finish them off. There's even an option to slow down time by using the adrenaline building up as you fight.
GAMEPLAY HINTS
Chapter 13: Voice access
Kill one of the men that have green on. You will see a man in yellow walk out in the open and run back. After a moment, the man in yellow will run over to you. When he does this, grab him. If another man runs with him, kill him and leave the man in yellow alive. Take him to give the voice authorization and you will be able to open the gate. When you go over to the gate, a lot of men will be there. An easy way to kill all of them is to run up to them and grab one as a shield. The man you grab will get killed quickly. Keep doing this until only one person remains.
Chapter 14: Fahook uses bottle
After defeating Fahook once he goes into the back of the plane, when you get him very low on life, he will drink from his bottle. At this time, you should shoot the bottle out of his hands before he gains too much life. Doing this three or four times will destroy his bottle. Finish off his remaining life points and watch the intermission sequence.
Use the manual aiming to shoot things. When you are on manual, you can aim at the bottle. You will need to do so three or four times. When the bottle is shot off Fahook, you need to make him go near the open back part of the airplane. Once there, shoot him and Fahook will fall off and die.
