14 DAY TRIAL // Intrepid gamers have quickly moved to look at the source code of the demo for the upcoming Dead or Alive 5 and found a list of characters which seems to include all the fighters that will be making an appearance in the full version of the video game.
The demo for Dead or Alive 5 was included on the game disk for Ninja Gaiden 3, and the fan community has quickly taken it apart in order to show that quite a few familiar faces from Dead or Alive 4 are set to make return appearances while Pai Chan and Sarah Bryant are crossing over from the Virtua Fighter series.
The full list includes: Pai, Sarah, Akira, Mila, Rig, Bayman, Hitomi, Christie, Brad, Lisa, Eliot, Ayane, Leifang, Hayate, Kokoro, Bass, Leon, Helena, Genfu, Kasumi, Hayabusa, Jannlee, Tina, Zack and Alpha152.
The demo deconstruction also shows that all the included characters are coming with six extra costumes to use during matches, although it is not clear whether all of them will be available to all players since the beginning of the game or will have to be unlocked via in-game actions.
Dead or Alive 5 is being developed by Team Ninja and published by Tecmo Koei and both companies have insisted that they are making a concerted effort to deliver a more nuanced game, which loses some of the pure interest in the female anatomy in order to delve into the emotional worlds of the portrayed characters.
Team Ninja also promised a refined battle system which both satisfies long-term fans of the series and attracts new gamers to the franchise.
Dead or Alive 5 will be launched on the Xbox 360 from Microsoft and the PlayStation 3 from Sony during September of this year and is the first game to go multiplatform for the franchise since the second one.
