Dead Space 3 was just released yesterday in North America and already users of review aggregator Metacritic have bombarded it with extremely low scores, dropping its user average to 4.6 on the PC platform and 5.4 on both the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles.

Dead Space 3 was eagerly awaited by millions of fans from all over the world, but news that the PC version is a direct port of the console editions and that the game includes microtransactions and DLC items caused quite an uproar.

Now, after coming out yesterday in North America and while it's getting ready to debut in the rest of the world later this week, Dead Space 3 has been bombarded by low scores by Metacritic users.

The PC edition received the most hate, as while the average from professional reviewers is at 80/100, the user average is at 4.6/10. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions have a professional score of 78/100 and 79/100, respectively, but both have a user average of 5.4/10.

Those who complain about the game quote things like backtracking or clunky controls on the PC, as well as the microtransactions and the DLC items.
