Capcom has confirmed that Dead Rising 3, its upcoming Xbox One exclusive zombie killing game, will use the Xbox SmartGlass system to relay a special set of story missions inside the game.

Dead Rising 3 impressed quite a few people during Microsoft's E3 2013 press conference, and it seems that the new game will take advantage of everything the Xbox One can offer, including the Xbox SmartGlass system, which allows a tablet or smartphone to interact with the console.

The game's Executive Producer, Josh Bridge, has revealed to Siliconera that a special set of story missions will be accessible via SmartGlass, as it allows a new character to call the protagonist on his phone and start the missions.

If players don't use SmartGlass, they can't access the missions which interweave with the main storyline, according to Bridge.

Even without those adventures the story will make sense, the producer said, so fans shouldn't worry about missing out on vital details.
