Capcom will offer Xbox 360 owners a special treat after the winter holidays, as the downloadable epilogue for its popular Dead Rising 2 game, Dead Rising 2: Case West will be launched on the Xbox Live Marketplace at the end of the month.

In case you're not familiar with Capcom's zombie-killing franchise, Dead Rising 2 appeared a few months ago and saw a new protagonist, Chuck Green, battle the undead horde through Las Vegas-inspired Fortune City.

Now, with this new epilogue, the story will be continued after the end of that game, as Chuck will meet up with Dead Rising 1 hero Frank West.

The two zombie killers will team up and try to uncover a conspiracy behind the undead outbreak around Fortune City.

"Chuck and Frank will face new challenges and new enemies but will also have access to new weapons, items and the ability to create a number of new Combo weapons such as the janitor's favorite, the 'Zap & Shine' and the ominous sounding 'Reaper'," revealed Capcom.

"Just as in the full game, players will have the opportunity to rescue human survivors who have so far escaped the clutches of the zombie horde."

Dead Rising 2: Case West will be out on December 27, exclusive to the Xbox 360, and will cost players 800 MS Points, twice than the downloadable prologue for Dead Rising 2, which was subtitled Case Zero.

Dead Rising 2: Case Zero managed to break sales records for a downloadable title right before the full game was released, so Capcom has certainly spent a lot of time preparing Case West, in order to make even more money.
