The development team at Deep Silver working on the upcoming Dead Island: Epidemic title is launching a new trailer for the game, which is designed to show lovers of the undead featuring franchise the core mechanics of the title.

The studio states, "What do deadly umbrellas, flaming trumpets, shark tornados and legions of gruesome zombies have in common? And what the hell is a ZOMBA, exactly?"

Epidemic is designed to feature three competing teams who are fighting one another and the undead zombies in order to secure resources and victory points.

The title is designed as a spin-off from the core Dead Island series and will use concepts associated with the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena genre, although it also aims to deliver some serious innovation to it.

The title is at the moment offered under an Early Access model on the Steam digital distribution service, which means that early adopters are able to play it and offer feedback in order for Deep Silver to be able to enhance the core features.

Dead Island: Epidemic will be launched in the near future using a free-to-play business model.

At the moment, Deep Silver is working with Yager to create a new full Dead Island title, which will be offered on the PC and next-gen consoles in 2015.
