Developer Deep Silver has announced that registrations are open for the closed beta of their upcoming multiplayer online battle arena Dead Island: Epidemic.
Dead Island: Epidemic will have teams battling in a competition for supplies and holding key points, apart from putting down throngs of zombies.
The game will also feature crafted weaponry, each player being able to approach the game with a different playstyle, numerous devastating powers and a more direct control over characters. Players will be able to move using the WASD keys and aim using the mouse, and there will be no last-hitting or clicking to move, as in most MOBAs.
Deep Silver has not yet tacked a date on the closed beta, but the Dead Island: Epidemic website states it's coming soon. Either way, players can now use the site to sign up for participation in the beta, when it goes live.
