Video game publisher Ubisoft and developer Techland have announced that they are working together on a new off-road racing game called Mad Riders, which is set to arrive on the PlayStation Network from Sony, the Xbox Live Arcade from Microsoft and the PC via digital distribution during the spring of this year.

The game is set to include more than 45 tracks linked to a number of real-world locations with speed being one of the main focuses of the game.

Each track will have shortcuts for dedicated fans to find and each gamer will need to carefully manage his boost ability in order to win the race.

Mad Riders will have a number of online features and support for leaderboards and the multiplayer matches will support up to 12 players that can join at any time via a new drop in system.

Techland is best known for creating the zombie-based open world action game Dead Island.
