EK released a whole bunch of water cooling products over the past year, but the company is experimenting with something new now: de-lidded CPUs.
What some people might not know is that central processing units don't need that chrome plate on the top to work.
That is just a lid that makes the connection between the actual processor and the cooler.
De-lidding CPUs enhances cooling though, provided that people know what they are doing and how to throw together a heatsink that makes contact with all the necessary parts.
EK Water Blocks has decided to make everything easier by launching the EK-Supremacy PreciseMount Add-on Naked Ivy, made precisely for de-lidded Intel Ivy Bridge CPUs.
Only EK-Supremacy series water blocks are compatible with it though. More information can be found on the product page.
