Sea Shepherd activists are not the only ones concerned about the fate of vulnerable dolphins.

Leilani Munter, a well-known professional race car driver, has recently announced her eagerness to drive a customized car inspired by the Cove documentary, an Academy-Award winning production revealing Japan's dolphin trade and unsustainable fishing practices.

The vehicle would be used during the prestigious ARCA race, scheduled on February 18. Inspired by The Cove movie, Munter believes that she can make a difference.

In order to get behind the wheel in her new car, she needs substantial donations. So far, she has managed to raise $16,000 (€12,498) and still has to come up with $13,000 (€10,154) to achieve her goal.

The Daytona campaign is seeking to sensitize 75 million American race fans. Munter has also committed to preserving the balance of rainforests and she is currently choosing to promote only green brands on her racing cars.
